Hi, I'm new here, I have a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS all stock 305 cid v8.
Looking forward to getting a newer Camaro with a LS1 hopefully.

I currently live in Norway, but used to live in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara CA.

Well I'm originally Norwegian, my parents figured it would be best for us as a family to move back. :banghead: I'm currently looking to move back, trying to reinstate my green card.

Argh, I hate it here. Thank you for the nice comments regarding my car.

No I did not have it shipped here, some other guy imported it from Texas in 1996.
It is rare to drive a 87 Monte Carlo yes, although American cars are not that rare.
There are a lot of american muscle cars here, mostly cars that are driven a few times during the summer.
Gas costs around $8-$10 a gallon approx. (Not sure haven't converted it recently).

I will be moving back early next year to California, most likely LA for starters since my attorney is located in LA, but I'm looking to go back to the Santa Clara area.
As long as the immigration process goes smoothly, can take up to two years until I've gone through all the hearings. (Will be able to work and live meanwhile under a temporary green card).

Until then,
I remain,

Ian

nice monte carlo. I've always had a soft spot for those old G/A bodies.

Yeah, though I kind of like the Buick GNX a bit more :jester: . I'm probably selling the car or storing it away when moving back, probably going to buy a newer camaro or something, but it's so darn expensive for them now. :P
