Figured this might be a good way to open up the engine components thread :stretch:

I am considering this cam for sure!!

I'm thinking LS3/478 for my camaro. the links are to crate engines that are basically LS3 + cam. The 515 uses ported intake manifold.

LS 376/478 (http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/EngineShowcase/index.jsp?engId=LS376480&engine=LS%20376/480&sku=19171224&engCat=ls) (cam alone is $520)

LS 376/515 (http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/EngineShowcase/index.jsp?engId=LS376515&engine=LS%20376/515&sku=19171225&engCat=ls) (no price on website for this cam)

Dunno how much cams normally cost, but it seems like a decently priced, super bang for your buck mod to start with.

but if you change the came later on you have to change the springs,lifters,rollers, etc lol
